The Master of Law Study Program (PRODI MIH) of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) once again held a series of training activities for writing theses and legal journals for students, taking place in the Advisory Council room of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
This activity is an effort to encourage MIH students to achieve important components in the development of science and academics in the MIH PRODI FH USU. Quality scientific papers are not only a prerequisite for graduation, but also play a significant role in advancing legal science and improving the reputation of institutions on the national and international stage.

Thesis Writing and Law Journal Training Activity "Education of Original and Plagiarism-Free Works" was opened directly by the Dean of the USU Law Faculty Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum accompanied by the Secretary of the MIH FH USU Study Program, Dr. Mahmud Mulyadi, S.H., M.Hum. This training activity presented a resource person, a Lecturer from the MIH FH USU Study Program, Dr. Rosmalinda, S.H., LLM.. The Moderator, a Lecturer from the USU Law Faculty, Lesly Saviera, S.H., M.H guided it.
Dr. Rosmalinda, S.H., LLM, in her presentation of the training material, directed participants regarding the systematics of writing a thesis in the MIH FH USU Study Program. Dr. Rosmalinda directed the participants to take turns mentioning the student's research plan and what obstacles they experienced. Several students still complained about the uncertainty in using theoretical and conceptual frameworks in writing a thesis. Not only that, students also want to know how to use the Mendeley application to support the procedure for writing a thesis.
Dr. Rosmalinda explained, "It seems we have to hold another Mendeley training in the future". Students who heard Dr. Rosmalinda's presentation were enthusiastic about holding Mendeley training to support thesis writing. Not only the presentation from the Speaker, this activity also presented Alumni of the Master of Law Fahrizal .S. Siagian, S.H., M.H., Liza Hafidzah Yusuf Rangkuti, S.H., M.H., and Nabila Afifah Salwa, S.H., M.H. to share a series of tips and tricks to USU Master of Law Students in scientific journal publications from the procedure for writing journals, the journal submission process, how to avoid plagiarism, to providing a list of journals indexed in Sinta 1 to Sinta 4 for USU MIH FH PROGRAM students. Thus, strengthening the ability to write scientifically, initially, and free from plagiarism is a strategic step that must be pursued and designed to improve the quality of scientific publications through mentoring.
