Public Relation FH-USU: Saturday (18/05/2024), the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a Legal Opinion Making Training activity, located in the Faculty Advisory Council (DPF) room of FH USU. This training activity took place from 09.00 - 16.00 WIB, which was divided into 2 sessions by presenting 2 resource persons namely Professor of FH USU, Prof. Dr. Alvi Syahrin, SH, M.S and Legal Practitioner / advocate, Dr. Dani Sintara, SH, MH. The training activities took place in a hybrid manner guided by FH USU Lecturer, Dr. Rosmalinda, SH, LL.M who acted as moderator. The training participants consisted of FH USU students and Faculty of Law students from various universities in Medan. The activity was also attended by the Dean of FH USU, Head of the Law Laboratory of FH USU, Rafiqoh, SH, M.Hum, Dean's Expert Staff in Public Relations, Boy Laksamana, SH, M.Hum, and the Executive Team of LKBH FH USU, Dr Robert, SH, M.H and Tommy Sinulingga, SH, M.Hum.
The Dean of FH USU, Dr Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum in his speech as well as opening the event conveyed the background of training activities like this as a tradition, especially for FH USU students. Dr Mahmul said "that from various regulations, the FH education category is a field of study with a scientific focus with skills as a supplement. This is in accordance with the character of legal science learning, apart from focusing on science it is also supported by skill supplements ". The Dean of FH USU also explained that FH USU has a Law Laboratory, Consultation and Legal Aid Institute (LKBH), and several courses whose function is to add skills to FH USU students. The Dean of FH USU hopes that through training activities like this it can improve the competence of FH USU students to be even better.
