FH-USU PR: Friday, (31/03/2023), the Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH-USU), in collaboration with the Lubuk Pakam District Court Class IA, held a handover ceremony and officially launched the Court Service Corner, located in the lobby of FH-USU's main building. The launch was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Dean of FH-USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, and the Chief of Lubuk Pakam District Court, Justice Rosihan Juhriah Rangkuti, SH., M.H. Following the launch, the event continued with the signing of an Implementation Arrangement (IA) between the Dean of FH-USU and the Chief of the Lubuk Pakam District Court Class IA. It concluded with a service simulation at the Court Service Corner.
The Court Service Corner at FH-USU is an innovation aimed at improving service quality for the public and enhancing students' competencies related to judicial processes. Chief Rosihan Juhriah Rangkuti, SH., M.H., stated that the Court Service Corner was a joint initiative with FH-USU, implemented as part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) previously signed by both parties. This service corner is an extension of the court, bringing judicial services closer to the community.
The Dean of FH-USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, emphasized that the Faculty of Law serves as "the friend of the court." He added that FH-USU holds a special emotional bond with the Lubuk Pakam District Court, as its Chief, Rosihan Juhriah Rangkuti, SH., M.H., is an alumna of FH-USU. In support of public service, FH-USU actively assists judicial services for the public, benefiting society and the faculty. The Dean remarked that this initiative also provides a practical learning platform for students of FH-USU.
