The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) hosted the National Seminar and National Deliberation of the Indonesian Intellectual Property Rights Law Teachers Association (APHKI) in 2023. The APHKI National Conference was preceded by an international seminar with the theme “THE ROLE OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN DEVELOPING THE Nation's ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE,” sub-theme “Sustainable Development Paradigm in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Industrial Society 5.0 in the Perspective of Green and Blue Economies.
The international seminar session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Siarait, SH.ML.I guided the speakers in presenting their international papers, as for the speakers of the international seminar, including Dr. Andriensjah, ST, MH, MM, Head of Program and Reporting Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Oka Hiroyuki Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Prof. Dr. Ida Madieha Abdul Gani Azmi, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws International Islamic University Malaysia, Dr. Lalu Muhammad Hayyanul Haq, SH.LLM., Faculty of Law, University of Mataram, Lombok.
In the APHKI National Deliberation, Prof. Dr. Adi Sulistiyono, SH, MH, was elected as Chairman of APHKI for the 2023-2026 Period, replacing Prof. Dr. OK. Saidin, SH.M.Hum, who has completed his duties for two periods. Prof. Dr. OK chaired the APHKI MUNAS session. The Daily Chairman, Dr. Djamal, accompanied Saidin; Vice Chairman, Dr. C. Kastowo, SH, M.Hum. and General Secretary, Dina W. Kariodimedjo, SH, LML, Ph.D., and Dr. Dra. Fennieka Kristianto, S.H., M.H., M.A., M.Kn as Deputy Treasurer.
