The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held a guest lecture by the presenting Director, Department of Dispute Resolution PSA LLC, Bagdat Kuzhatov, LLM, PhD, with the topic “International Petroleum Contracts: Comparative analysis.” Bagdat Kuzhatov, LLM, PhD is a Teaching Professor on International Energy Arbitration, originally from Kazakhstan, who is also the Director of the Department of Dispute Resolution PSA LLC - Appointed by the Kazakh Government on major oil & gas projects Kashagan and Karachaganak.

The Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M. Hum, said in his speech, “This guest lecture is a lecture activity to add insight and knowledge from lecturers and students.” The Dean hopes that the presence of Mr. Bagdat Kuzhatov, LLM, PhD, can be continued with cooperation between universities, such as research and service, including joint writing and becoming a reviewer in one of the journals in the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The public lecture by Bagdat Kuzhatov, LLM, PhD, with the topic “International Petroleum Contracts: Comparative analysis” is the first topic lecture meeting and will be continued with the second meeting with the topic ‘International Energy Law - A way from traditional to renewable energy’. The public lecture activity was guided by USU Faculty of Law Lecturer Dr. Rosmalinda, SH, LL.M, who acted as moderator and was attended by students in the Environmental Law and International Civil Law classes.
