The International Community Service Team chaired by Dr. Agusmidah, SH, M.Hum (Lecturer / Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Law USU) together with representative lecturers from UMS (Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta), UAD (Universitas Ahmad Dahlan) Yogyakarta, UMMAT (Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram), UNIMUS (Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang), and USU (Universitas Sumatera Utara) conducted International Community Service (ABDIMAS) activities in Hong Kong.

In implementing ABDIMAS with the theme “BUILDING AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL ASSURANCE FOR INDONESIA'S MIGRANT WORKERS IN HONG KONG,” the International Community Service Team collaborated with the Special Branch of Aisyiyah (PCIA) in Hong Kong. The target of this International ABDIMAS activity is to socialize the awareness of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Hong Kong to plan their income to have old age savings through a government program, namely the National Social Security System by BPJS Employment.

The activity, which took place at Victoria Park Hong Kong, was attended by 50 PMIs in Hong Kong. Dr. Agusmidah said, “PMI in Hong Kong is a community, their economic potential is very high, there needs to be internal awareness so that the process of leaving is not through brokers, not unprocedural, so as not to get into debt.” “When working, savings become mandatory in addition to sending money to Indonesia for daily family needs and children's education, so the social security system managed by the state through BPJS Employment becomes a mandatory alternative,” said Dr. Agusmidah.
