The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) once again held an intensive training program in the form of the “2025 Intensive Career Bootcamp,” held at the FH USU Moot Court Building. Through this activity, it is hoped that participants, consisting of FH USU students, will receive instruction in legal materials and skills at the practical level.

Public Relations FH-USU: On Monday (May 26, 2025), the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) once again held an intensive training program in the form of the “2025 Intensive Career Bootcamp,” held at the FH USU Moot Court Building. Through this activity, it is hoped that participants, consisting of FH USU students, will receive instruction in legal materials and skills at the practical level.

 

The training was led by FH USU lecturer Siti Khairunnisa, S.H., M.H., with two FH USU alumni serving as speakers: Banuara Sianipar, S.H., M.M., CPHR., CRA., and Rina Melati Sitompul, S.H., M.H. Also present were the Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, Vice Dean I, Dr. Agusmidah, S.H., M.Hum, and the Dean's Expert Staff for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, Dr. Robert.

 

In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at USU stated, “We organize events like this by inviting our alumni who have been successful in their professional careers to provide motivation, encouragement, and strong inspiration to students, showing them that they too can achieve such success.”

 

Dr. Mahmul Siregar explained that the job market and industry widely absorb FH USU graduates. “What is most important is that we must be able to set a reasonable ‘goal’ to strive for, and we must be fully committed to fighting for something worth fighting for,” said the Dean of FH USU.

 

The Dean explained that FH USU strives to stimulate students by inviting alumni to share their knowledge and experiences through discussions. “Various activities are organized by FH USU to continuously stimulate students, including alumni teaching programs, practitioner lecturers, and guest lectures,” said the Dean.

 

Rina Melati Sitompul, S.H., M.H., who is a lecturer and lawyer, presented a training session titled “Strategies for Entering the Legal Profession: ‘Where Is Your Passion?’” Rina discussed the challenges of the legal profession in the digital age, future job opportunities for law graduates, and strategies for seeking and applying for jobs.

 

Meanwhile, Banuara Sianipar, S.H., M.M., CPHR., CRA, a lawyer and curator, emphasized the importance of ethics in the professional world. Banuara stated, “Never be satisfied; strive to improve your achievements, ethics, and the skills required by the workplace.”
