FH-USU PR : Saturday (15/6/2024), Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum inaugurated the Stambuk-98 International Classroom on the second floor of the FH USU Main Building. Also present were Vice Dean II, Puspa Melati, S.H., M.Hum, Vice Dean III, Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, S.H., M.Hum, Chairman of the Alumni Association (IKA) FH USU, Hasrul Benny Harahap S.H., M.Hum, Chairman of the renovation of the Stambuk-98 International Classroom, Dr. Iwan Ginting, S.H., M.H, Chairman of the Reunion Committee, M.H, Chairman of the Reunion Committee of FH USU Class of 98 Alumni, Sandi Faisal SH, accompanied by Bambang Nurdiansyah and Fify Ramadhani as Secretary and Treasurer of the Committee, as well as Alumni of FH USU class of 1998.
The inauguration of the Stambuk-98 International Classroom is a series of activities of the 1998 FH USU Alumni Reunion. Chairman of the FH Class of 98 Alumni Reunion Committee, Sandi Faisal SH, said, “This reunion is a form of our togetherness, and as our dedication as Alumni, we carry out the construction of the renovation of the Stambuk-98 International Classroom and social services to orphanages in Medan City”. “We have three months to prepare everything. Hopefully, this social service and room renovation will be a blessing for all of us who have participated,” said Sandi.
On this occasion, the class of 1998 Alumni gave social aid to janitors in the FH USU environment. This assistance came from donations from alumni of the Faculty of Law class of 1998, which was symbolically handed over by Dr. Iwan Ginting, Sandi Faisal, and M Syawal Lubis, witnessed by all alumni of the Faculty of Law USU class of 98 who were present. The aid is a series of previous social service activities, namely to the Orphanage.
The chairman of the renovation of the Stambuk-98 International Classroom, Dr. Iwan Ginting, S.H., M.H, who also currently serves as Aspidsus of the North Sumatra Prosecutor Office, said that the construction of the Stambuk-98 room had been completed and the results were excellent and satisfying. “We built this room with the participation and assistance of friends from FH USU Alumni class of 98; no sponsorship was needed. We hope this room can be used as much as possible and is helpful for lecture activities, “said Dr. Iwan Ginting.
In his speech, the chairman of IKA FH USU, Hasrul Benny Harahap, S.H., M.Hum, congratulated the 26th reunion of class of 1998 alumni. The Chairman of IKA FH USU said that the inauguration of the Stambuk-98 International Classroom was extraordinary work, “This proves that the class of 98 Alumni are compact and their love for the alma mater is very great. Moreover, the construction of this room does not use sponsors; of course, we must appreciate it as much as possible,” said Hasrul Benny Harahap.
Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, in his speech, expressed his admiration, “I have seen it, it is very extraordinary and representative; this June there are about 15 students from India who will come to our faculty, so this room can be used for comfortable and representative learning, once again we from the faculty thank class of 98 alumni,” said the Dean.
