FH USU PR: On Monday (17/01/2022), in commemoration of its 68th Anniversary, the Faculty of Law of Universitas Sumatera Utara (Faculty of Law USU) organized the Scientific Week Webinar Legal Reflection Series-1 with the theme "Transformation Strategy to Improve the Performance of Holding PTPN." The webinar was conducted via Zoom, featuring the Head of the Doctoral Program in Law Studies of Faculty of Law USU, Prof. Dr. Ningrum Natasya Sirait, SH., M.Li, and the President Director of Holding PTPN, who is also a member of USU's Board of Trustees, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Ghani, as keynote speakers. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Asmawi, SH., M.Hum moderated the session.
In his opening remarks, the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si stated that this legal scientific week benefits institutions, communities, and organizations related to legal studies in Indonesia. Holding PTPN is appropriate if taken as a step-based practice for transformation; as a humanities discipline, the Faculty of Law USU can adjust the concept of Technosociopreneurship University by collaborating with the industrial world, continued the USU Rector.
The Dean of Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH., M.Hum, expressed his hope that this scientific week would provide an open platform for discussions on improving performance transformation within Holding PTPN. He noted that the Legal Scientific Week would be conducted the following week, focusing on conversations about legal enforcement and various contemporary legal issues.
The Chairman of the 68th Anniversary Committee of Faculty of Law USU, Hasrul Benny Harahap, SH., M.Hum, in his report, explained that this webinar marked the beginning of the series of events held to celebrate the 68th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law USU. The committee has organized several activities, including scientific week, social service events, and free legal counseling sessions that have already been conducted. The highlight of the anniversary celebration will feature a keynote lecture by the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Prof. Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly, SH., M.Sc., Ph.D., and other activities such as a fun walk, fun bike, blood donation, and a gathering with alumni and stakeholders.
