Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, together with the Medan Branch of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI), represented by the Secretary of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) PERADI Medan, Hermasyah Hutagalung S.H., M.H. and Deputy Chairperson of the Advocate Professional Special Education Division, DPC PERADI Medan, Syahrul Sitorus, S.H., M.Hum officially handed over 33 USU Faculty of Law Students participating in the Partner Internship Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Odd Semester A.Y. 2024/2025, at the PERADI Medan Building.
The handover ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Dean I of FH USU, Dr. Agusmidah, SH, M.Hum. , the Manager of the USU Education Development Directorate, Mahatir Muhammad, S. Farm., M. Si., Apt. , the MBKM USU Coordinator, Riyanto Sinaga, S.Si., M.Si, and the MBKM FH USU Coordinator, Nita Nilan Sry Rezki Pulungan, SH., M.Kn., as well as Advocates as partner internship mentors and Field Supervisors.
Certified internships are part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, which aims to provide opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside the lecture class. Through this certified internship program, students will gain work experience in the real professional world for one to two semesters by learning directly from internship partners at the workplace.
After participating in this certified internship program, students will gain hard and soft skills so that they have the ability and experience to pursue a career and enter the world of work.
