The Financial Services Authority (OJK), in collaboration with the USU Faculty of Law, held a Socialization of Consumer Protection in the Financial Services Sector at the USU Faculty of Law Moot Court Building on Wednesday (10/24/2018).
The Director of Financial Services Institution Supervision of the OJK Regional Office 5 Sumbagut, Mulyanto Lubis, opened the socialization activity. It was attended by several lecturers and students participating in the socialization. The Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Budiman Ginting, SH., M.Hum, in his speech, said that this activity was beneficial for both students and lecturers to increase their insight into understanding the benefits, risks, and legality of products from companies in the financial services sector.
In this socialization activity, the Deputy Commissioner of OJK for Education and Consumer Protection had the opportunity to give a public lecture entitled Consumer Protection in the Financial Services Sector. The activity also included signing an MOU between the USU Faculty of Law and the Indonesian Banking Dispute Resolution Alternative Institution regarding Dispute Resolution Practices Through Non-Litigation Channels at Alternative Dispute Resolution Institutions in the Financial Services Sector.
