HUMAS-FH USU: The Master's Program in Notary (MKn) at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held an Article Writing and Journal and E-Journal Publication Workshop for students of the 2026 cohort on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WIB, the activity was organized to strengthen students’ academic skills in scholarly writing and publication.

The event began with participant registration, an opening session, the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and a prayer. Participants then took a group photo before the program continued with remarks and a campus introduction by the Head of the Master's Program in Notary, Dr. Idha Aprilyana Sembiring, S.H., M.Hum.

The event continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum. The forum then proceeded to the main session, moderated by Dr. Fajar Khaify Rizki, S.H., M.H.

During the main session, Dr. Muhammad Yusuf, S.Pd., M.A., served as the speaker and delivered a presentation on article writing and journal and e-journal publication. The presentation was followed by a discussion and question-and-answer session, providing students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding and gain practical insights into the process of writing and publishing scholarly works.

The workshop concluded with the closing of the main session, the handover of the forum to the master of ceremonies, and the presentation of a token of appreciation from the Master's Program in Notary to the speaker. The event was then officially closed by the master of ceremonies.

The workshop represents one of the Master's Program in Notary’s initiatives to strengthen students’ academic competencies and scholarly writing skills. Through this activity, students are expected to gain a better understanding of the process of preparing scholarly articles and become better equipped to produce and publish academic works in journals and e-journals.

The activity supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by strengthening students’ competencies, academic skills, and capacity development as part of efforts to provide quality higher education.
