Master of Law Science Study Program, Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held scientific writing training for students of Master of Law Science FH USU. The training was held hybrid in FH USU's Faculty Advisory Council (DPF) room. In this training, the resource person was the Manager of the USU Scientific Writing Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights Institute (LIPIHKI), Sony Eka Nugraha, S.Farm., M.Si., Apt.

 

The training was attended by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, Chairperson and Secretary of the Master of Law Study Program, Prof. Dr. OK. Saidin, SH, M.Hum and Dr. Mahmud Mulyadi SH, M.Hum. , Lecturers of Master of Law Science and training participants consisting of Master of Law Science students who attended online and offline. The training activities were guided by Lesly Saviera S.H., M.H., who was the moderator.

 

The Dean of the USU Faculty of Law, in his opening remarks, said, “This kind of training is very important for quality improvement; why is it difficult for us to submit our writing to journals, one of which is because the quality of the writing is not matching the requirements of the publisher. Therefore, every year, the Master of Law Study Program carries out activities like this to improve the students' understanding of scientific writing skills, both in the form of final assignments or theses and in the form of articles.
