To celebrate the 71st Anniversary of the Faculty of Law (FH), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), a funwalk and thanksgiving event was held for achieving international accreditation from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).

 

Faculty of Law USU PR: Saturday (May 17, 2025), To celebrate the 71st Anniversary of the Faculty of Law (FH), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), a funwalk and thanksgiving event was held for achieving international accreditation from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).

 

USU Rector, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., in his speech, emphasized the importance of consolidation and unity as the main key to the Faculty of Law's success in achieving international accolades. He reminded us that such achievements are difficult to attain without strong unity and cooperation.

 

Prof. Muryanto encouraged all parties to continue fostering good relations and strengthen synergy between lecturers, students, alums, and faculty leaders so that the Faculty of Law USU becomes more advanced and globally competitive.

 

The Dean of Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., stated that this international accreditation results from hard work and collaboration from all parties within the faculty, including lecturers, professors, alums, students, and work partners. This accreditation assessment covered various aspects such as lecturer performance, learning standards, curriculum, and teaching-learning processes that have met international standards.

 

The Dean of FH USU also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the faculty and alumni to develop an excellent, integrity-driven legal education.

 

The Head of the Faculty of Law USU Alumni Association (IKA FH USU), Dr. Hasrul Beni Harahap, S.H., M.Hum., outlined various tangible contributions from alumni, such as the development and renovation of campus facilities. This facility development is tangible proof of the alums's concern for improving the quality of education at FH USU.

 

Furthermore, the Head of IKA FH USU encouraged alumni to participate more actively in developing the faculty's website as a medium for communication and documentation of activities so that FH USU's stories and achievements can be widely disseminated and inspire future generations.

 

Not only enlivened by the Funwalk, the anniversary activities also included alum teaching, seminars, blood drives, social services, competitions, scientific orations, and community service. The funwalk marked the joyful conclusion of FH USU's 71st Anniversary celebration series and enhanced synergy among many parties.
