Public Relations FH-USU: Dr. Agusmidah, SH., M.Hum, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), was a speaker at the International Seminar and International Community Service event themed "The Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) During the Placement Period" held at the Auditorium of the Indonesian Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.

Dr. Agusmidah, who also serves as the Vice Dean I of FH USU, presented a material titled "The Legal Status of PMI in Employment Relationships Abroad" at the international seminar, which was combined with a legal counseling activity. In her presentation, Dr. Agusmidah discussed Indonesian migrant workers placed in Brunei Darussalam who face issues and are sheltered at the Indonesian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam. The main speakers at the international seminar included Prof. Dr. Fithriatus Shalihah, S.H, M.H (MIH UAD-Yogyakarta) who also led the Indonesian delegation, Dr. Agusmidah (FH USU-Medan), Dr. Nurjannah (FH UMMAT-Lombok), Ahmad Anshory (STIH Gunung Jati - Tangerang), and speakers from the Faculty of Law, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Universiti Sultan Syarif Ali, Brunei Darussalam, namely Dr. Sulaiman Dorloh and Rajali bin Haji Ali.
The International Seminar and International Community Service event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Brunei Darussalam, Bandar Seri Begawan, and took place from April 29 to May 2, 2024.
