HUMAS FH-USU: Thursday (12/09/2024)

The Faculty of Law Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), in collaboration with the Special Unit for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK MIGAS), held a Seminar and Socialization activity at the Hall of the Faculty of Law USU with the theme “SKK Migas-KKKS Goes to Campus University of North Sumatra (USU).”

This activity aims to provide students and the academic community with a comprehensive understanding of SKK Migas's vital role in overseeing Indonesia's upstream oil and gas industry. This event is not just a one-way seminar and socialization; it offers an interactive experience that allows participants to dive into the complexities and dynamics of upstream oil and gas activities.

In her remarks, while opening the event, the Vice Rector III of USU, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan S.Si., M.Si., said that this activity was very effective in framing synergies between the world of education and the energy industry. The Vice Rector III of USU hopes that this activity can improve the quality and competence of graduates by making a real contribution to the development of Indonesia's human resources.

Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar S.H., M.Hum., said, “This socialization is very relevant to the campus because it can arouse the enthusiasm of students to learn more about the industrial world; not only that, the activity is also closely related to one of the rector's priority programs, namely developing the Teaching Industry,” said the Dean of FH USU.

Head of Program and Communication Division of SKK Migas, Hudi D. Suryodipuro explained the possibility of internship opportunities at SKK Migas - K3S will be widely open to USU students. The material provided is also tailored to the faculty so that students get an overview of work in the oil and gas industry by their domain. “Our main goal is to provide socialization and education related to the oil and gas industry because there are still many people who do not know the impact it has on society and the state,” said Hudi D. Suryodipuro.
