Public Relations FH-USU: Thursday (23/01/2025), Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU) held an Initial Work Meeting in 2025, taking place in the Faculty Advisory Board (DPF) room of FH USU. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum. attended by Vice Dean I, Dr. Agusmidah, S.H., M.Hum.; Vice Dean II, Puspa Melati Hasibuan, S.H., M.Hum.; Vice Dean III, Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, S.H., M.Hum.; Head and Secretary of the Study Program at USU; Head of the Legal Consultation and Assistance Institute; Head of the Legal Laboratory, as well as Expert Staff; Head of Administration; Head of Sub Division; System Operator; and Education Personnel.
In this meeting, apart from discussing the USU Priority Performance Indicators for 2025, it also discussed performance achievements and performance evaluation in 2024. The Accreditation Achievements of Study Programs within FH USU are the Bachelor of Laws Study Program with Excellent Accreditation and is currently following the international accreditation process (FIBAA), the Master of Laws Study Program with Excellent Accreditation, the Doctor of Laws Study Program with Excellent Accreditation and is currently in the process of reaccreditation, the Master of Kenotariatan Study Program with Excellent Accreditation. External Recognition of FH USU is presently ranked 10th Best Faculty of Law in Indonesia 2024 by THE WUR 2024 and Best Faculty of Law in the Western Region by Top Indonesian Law School 2024 Online Law.
As for the achievements of Infrastructure Development in 2024, including international classes (3 classes), alumni-assisted international classes (2 classes), renovation of Building A 2nd floor classrooms (R.5 and R.2), renovation of Building A Lt.2 toilets, renovation of 1st floor toilets (including utilities for the disabled), security systems (fire extinguishers and hydrants), Student Achievement Certificate Almari, renovation of the main courtroom 1st floor. Moot Court Building (alumni assistance 89), Renovation of courtrooms and department buildings (CSR PT. Musim Mas), Renovation of the front garden of the faculty (CSR PT. Musim Mas) Addition of air conditioners (CSR PT. Inalum, PT. Pelindo, SKK Migas, alumni assistance), infrastructure development for MKN, S2 and S3 (RKA, alumni and partner assistance), fulfillment of disabled facilities (toilets, ramps, and special parking), signage (evacuation signs, parking, building directions, careful instructions, and others).
The achievement of International Cooperation Development in 2024 includes several activities, namely the FIBAA Germany Field Assessment, Indonesia International Student Mobility Award, International Staff Mobility, Adjunct Professor, Summer Course, Guest Lecturer, Seminar, International Conference (cohost), Joint Research, working visits, and signing of the MOA FH USU—Australia.
Regarding the USU Priority Performance Indicators in 2025, the Dean of FH USU explained about several targets, namely Target 1: Improving the Quality of Education, Goal 2: Increased Cooperation and Partnership, Goal 2: Increased Achievement and Reputation, Goal 4: Improving Management Governance.
The working meeting is in preparation for 2025 to achieve the transformation goals of FH USU towards a superior faculty of law, internationally competitive and ready to face hyper-competition.
