To Enhance the Implementation of Cooperation with the Private, Industry, and Government Sectors on Domestic Research and Student Creativity Program (PKM), the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), conducted a visit to several cooperation partners in the city of Langsa. These included the Regional Office 6 of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IV, Langsa, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudera, Langsa, and the Gampong Sungai Lueng Village, Langsa.

 

FH-USU Public Relations: On Thursday (March 13, 2025), to Enhance the Implementation of Cooperation with the  Private, Industry, and Government Sectors on Domestic Research and Student Creativity Program (PKM), the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), conducted a visit to several cooperation partners in the city of Langsa. These included the Regional Office 6 of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IV, Langsa, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudera, Langsa, and the Gampong Sungai Lueng Village, Langsa.

 

 

During this visit, the delegation from the Faculty of Law USU, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Law USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum., accompanied by the Vice Dean III (for Cooperation, Research, and Community Service), Dr. Mohammad Ekaputra, S.H., M.Hum., along with the Public Relations Team and the Cooperation Division Team of the Faculty of Law USU.

 

 

During the meeting at the Regional Office 6 of PTPN IV in Langsa, the delegation from the Faculty of Law USU was received by the Head of PTPN IV Regional 6 KSO, Syahriadi Siregar, and the SEVP Business Support of PTPN IV Regional 6 KSO, Tengku Rinel, along with their staff. The visit discussed several matters, including efforts to strengthen the cooperation between PT. Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IV Regional 6 KSO and the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, involving the Undergraduate Program in Law Studies in conducting activities related to enhancing research and community service, as well as exploring other potential collaborations between FH USU and PTPN IV Regional 6 KSO.

 

 

During the meeting at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudera in Langsa, the delegation from the Faculty of Law USU was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudera, Dr. Drs. Muhammad Natsir, S.H., M.Hum., and the Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Law Studies, Dr. M. Iqbal Asnawi, S.H., M.H., along with their team. The visit discussed several matters related to the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Law, Universitas Samudera, and the Faculty of Law USU. On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Law USU also had the opportunity to deliver a public lecture titled “The Role of Law in Sustainable Economic Development.”

 

 

During the meeting at Gampong Sungai Lueng Village in Langsa, the delegation from the Faculty of Law USU was received by the Keuchik (Village Head) of Gampong Sungai Lueng, Elhazir; the Subdistrict Head of East Langsa, Heri Setiawan, S.S.T.P., M.A.P.; and a member of the Langsa Regional House of Representatives (DPRK), Syamsul Bahri (a community leader). The visit discussed efforts to strengthen the partnership in preparation for the implementation of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) in 2025, particularly related to outreach and education activities for the community and stakeholders regarding regulations, procedures, and the importance of mangrove forest tourism management.
