The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), held a meeting with FH USU lecturers who are currently pursuing doctoral studies. This meeting was held to conduct monitoring and evaluation to find out information and developments, as well as obstacles faced by lecturers in completing their doctoral studies to support the improvement of the quality of education and the achievement of the targets of the FH USU priority work programs. Currently, FH USU has 11 lecturers who are pursuing further studies for a Doctor of Law Science.
In this meeting, the Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum, motivated the eleven FH USU lecturers to complete their advanced studies. The Dean said, “If these eleven lecturers can complete their doctoral studies, we can actually achieve the target, considering that in the next few years, some of our lecturers with doctoral and professorial degrees will retire. Therefore, we must plan for this so that the percentage of doctors with the number of lecturers and the ratio of students can still be fulfilled”. The Dean also had the opportunity to explain the priority work program of FH USU in 2024 to the lecturers. Then, the meeting continued with a discussion.
