The Supreme Court Singapore was the first destination for students from IMAHMI FH USU. The group was warmly welcomed by Ms. Diana, one of the professional guides appointed by the Supreme Court (in Indonesia, commonly known as the Supreme Court). The group then took a tour session around the Supreme Court building. The Supreme Court has 25 courtrooms, 39 chambers, and two mediation rooms. The Supreme Court is also supported by technology that makes the court more efficient and effective in serving legal problems registered in it. On the second visit (14/11/2017) to the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore (NUS), the IMAHMI student group seemed very interested because the name NUS is well known as the 15th Best University in the world.
On this visit, the group consisting of students and lecturers was welcomed directly by the Dean of the NUS Faculty of Law, Prof. Simon Chesterman. After that, a general lecture session was continued comparing contract law in countries with common law and civil law systems by Prof. Gary F Bell. In his lecture, he emphasized the importance of law students studying the common law legal system to be ready to face globalization, which demands the reliability of law enforcers in the material aspects of the legal system, both civil and common law.
