Publics Relations FH-USU: Monday (12/02/2024), in order to enliven the 70th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FH USU), the Academic Community together with the Alumni Association (IKA) FH USU carried out community service activities in the form of legal counseling and social services to community members with the theme, 'Community Service, Use Voting Rights, Channel Aspirations', located in Sambirejo Timur Village, Percut Seituan District, Deliserdang Regency.
The Dean of FH USU, Dr. Mahmul Siregar, SH, M.Hum in his speech expressed his gratitude to the committee and the entire community so that community service activities as a noble mandate of the Tridharma of Higher Education can be carried out. Gratitude was also expressed by the Chairman of the 70th Anniversary Committee of FH USU, Dr. Iwan Ginting, SH, M.H. The Chairman of the 70th Anniversary Committee of FH USU is an Alumni of FH USU who also serves as Assistant for Special Crimes at the North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Aspidsus Kejati Sumut). Also present were the Chairperson of IKA FH USU represented by Edwin Nasution, SH, M.Si (Head of Deliserdang Regency Inspectorate) and the Head of Sambirejo Timur Village, Arifin.
In the community service / legal counseling activities, speakers were presented by FH USU academics, among others, Dr. Afnila SH, M.Hum with the material "The Right to Vote as a Constitutional Right of Citizens", Dr. Abdul Haris Nasution, SH, MH with the material "Elections, Public Information: Your Right to Know" and Yusrin, SH M.Hum with counseling material "How to Become a Rational Voter?". The activity was closed with a social service by distributing gifts in the form of staples to residents.
