The Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a birthday celebration for Prof. Dr. Mariam Darus Badrulzaman, S.H., FCBArb, as well as the launch of the book “Tough Academics Who Never Stop Working for 90 Years” through the zoom media meeting. Attended by 257 guests, this birthday celebration successfully received many good and positive responses from the guests. The birthday commemoration of Prof. Dr. Mariam Darus Badrulzaman, S.H., FCBArb, as well as the launch of the book “Tough Academics Who Do Not Stop Working Sempena 90 Years” was hosted by Zulfi Chairi, S.H., M.Hum as the Master of Ceremony (MC). The prayer was read by Syamsul Rizal, S.H., M.Hum.
The chairman of the birthday and book launch committee, Prof. Dr. Rosnidar Sembiring, S.H., M.Hum, gave a speech to all guests. Remarks were also made by representatives of Prof. Dr. Mariam Darus' family, namely Tengku Septiansyah Q. Reza Badrulzaman, S.H., L.LM. A warm and positive welcome was also expressed by Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, as the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara. Dr. Mahmul Siregar, S.H., M.Hum, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Sumatera Utara, also gave the welcome speech.
Prof. M.D.'s Big Family carried out the ceremonial blowing of Prof. Dr. Mariam Darus Badrulzaman, S.H., FCBArb's birthday cake, witnessed by all speakers and guests. Prof. Dr. H. OK. Saidin, S.H., M.Hum, as the editor of the book “Tough Academician Who Doesn't Stop Working Sempena 90 Years,” Prof. Dr. M.D. gave a warm welcome and an introduction to the book. Asro Kamal Rokan's poetry presentation, “The Person Who Never Gives Up and Stops to Work,” amazed the guests who attended the Zoom meeting. Gratitude was also expressed by :

The most awaited thing was the direct speech by Prof. Dr. Mariam Darus Badrulzaman, S.H., FCBArb, who was on her birthday. The warm welcome and the presentation of experiences Prof. M.D. told during her life immersed the guests in the story. The birthday commemoration and book release are the desire of FH USU to encourage Prof. M.D. to remain a role model for everyone who knows him. The last session of this event was a group photo.
