INVITATION LETTER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PENANG HERITAGE, CULTURE, GLOBAL AND TECHNOLOGY SUSTAINABLE SUMMER CAMP (P-HCGTS) 2023

 

With reference to the above matter, I am pleased to formally invite your institution to participate in the Penang Heritage, Culture, Global and Technology Sustainable Summer Camp (P-HCGTS) 2023, which will be conducted both online and face-to-face.

 

  1. The inaugural edition of the Penang Heritage, Culture, Global and Technology Sustainable Summer Camp (P-HCGTS) 2023 addresses the challenges of key issues in the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDG 2030) for youth, particularly university students. This year’s edition, P-HCGTS 2023, will focus on SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). This summer camp program will provide students with broader perspectives on global challenges, advanced technology, food sustainability, and various solutions, particularly in the post-pandemic era.

  2. Program details are as follows:

    Date  : October 9–20, 2023 (one week online and one week face-to-face)
    Participants : 30 undergraduate students from outside Malaysia
    Venue  : Online and UiTM, Penang, Malaysia
    Cost  : Accommodation, airport transfer, and meals during the program will be covered by the organizer. (Other expenses not mentioned will be borne by the students themselves)

     

  3. We hope that students will gain valuable experience and knowledge from this summer camp program. Please feel free to contact Dr. Nor Khadijah Mohd Azhari at norkhadijah@uitm.edu.my, who serves as the liaison officer for this summer camp program.
